You deserve a wedding or civil ceremony that reflects you, your love, and whatever you believe in. Yet couples often find that they are restricted to using registered venues, and a ceremony they have little control over.

If you want a ceremony that is fun, upbeat, and celebrates your love story, then look no further.

Just as no two relationships are the same, neither are two of my ceremonies, they are totally tailored to you.

Perhaps you’ve always dreamed of saying “I do” barefoot on a beach, or in wellies in a field, or even on a boat? Let’s do it!

Working with me means you really can get married wherever you like, in a beautiful ceremony that is a true reflection of your relationship.

What's involved?

When we first meet we’ll just spend some time getting to know each other so I can find out more about you, your relationship, and your wishes for your ceremony. Some couples have lots of ideas, and some aren’t quite sure what they want yet, that’s totally fine – we’ve got plenty of time to create something amazing.

Once you’ve confirmed the booking, I’ll write your bespoke ceremony script including lots of stories about you and your relationship. With my experience I can make suggestions, and together we’ll create something that feels right for you. I can also support you with writing vows and help out any family or friends who you would like to do a reading.

A couple of months before your date I’ll send you a first draft of your ceremony. Unlike with a registrar, you get lots of input and your feedback is welcome. We’ll work together until you’re 100% happy with the result.

We’ll meet again closer to the day and confirm all of the choreography of your ceremony; music, entrances, exits, who stands where, and how to get the most from your photographer. This is where I think of myself as the stage manager of your ceremony, I’ll make sure everything flows smoothly so you just turn up and have an incredible time.

On the day I will arrive nice and early to coordinate with the venue, and to make sure any best men, groomsmen, bridesmaids and readers know exactly what they’re doing.

I’ll conduct your ceremony as planned, delivering a beautiful and memorable performance that will have your friends and family laughing and crying happy tears.

Afterwards you’ll get a gorgeous copy of the ceremony script and readings to treasure forever.

Travel costs - £0.45 per mile over 20miles to the client/venue

Special Elements

These are some of the additional elements you may also wish to consider including in your ceremony

Signing & Witness Ceremony

A brief ceremony involving the couple and 2 - 4 witnesses. Each in turn sign a keepsake parchment which is then presented to the newlyweds.

Broom Jumping Ceremony

This is based on a tradition which symbolises the clearing away of negativity with a sweep of the broom and creating a threshold for the couple to cross over into their new life together. The decorated broom can either remain on the ground; or be lifted slightly above it - perhaps by little bridesmaids.

Unity Sand Ceremony

This ceremony symbolises the joining of the couple. We often suggest this where there are young children involved in the ceremony as they can be involved in this element of the ceremony.

Hand Fasting Ceremony

A Celtic tradition where the couples hands are tied with ribbons to represent the two hearts in a marriage. This element is where we get the term "tying the knot"

First Kiss, Last Kiss

This ceremony option involves the mother of both the Bride and the Groom. They are called upon to join the Bride and Groom near the end of the ceremony. The mothers gave their children their first kiss when they came into the world and they will give their last kiss as single individuals before sending them on their new journey as husband / wife / life partner.

Wine Ceremony

In the Wine ceremony the couple can either choose to pour one white glass and one red glass to create a blush that they will both drink from or there can be a pouring of one glass that they both will drink from.
